New platform delivers enterprise-grade servers, AI systems, workstations, and laptops on flexible terms for AI startups, VFX studios, and research teams

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — [DATE], 2026 — Skorppio, a new self-serve platform for on-premise high-performance computer rentals, launches today with a fleet of enterprise-grade systems available by the day, week, or month. The platform serves AI startups, ML developers, VFX studios, simulation teams, and research organizations that need dedicated compute without ownership costs, cloud lock-in, or long-term contracts.

For teams that need temporary access to high-performance, on-premise hardware, the options have been limited: buying equipment requires months of lead time and significant capital, while cloud computing trades margin and control for convenience. Skorppio was built to close that gap — providing a rental path to enterprise-grade compute that simply did not exist before.

Skorppio's fleet spans servers, NVIDIA DGX-class enterprise AI systems, GPU workstations, and high-performance mobile workstations — all connected through Mellanox high-speed networking. Systems feature NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs with up to 786 GB of VRAM and AMD EPYC and Threadripper Pro processors, with select configurations engineered to operate on standard household electrical circuits — eliminating the specialized power infrastructure that typically keeps enterprise AI hardware out of conventional office environments. First-, second-, and third-generation systems are available across a range of price points.

"Every AI team needs compute, but the path to getting it is broken," said Jonathan Goldstein, Founder and CEO of Skorppio. "Buying hardware takes months and millions. Cloud takes margin and control. Renting on-premise — the obvious middle ground — barely existed until now. That's why I built Skorppio."

Through a digital-first experience on web and mobile, users configure systems and select from curated KIT Collections — pre-built assemblies such as AI Startup Kits, Simulation Packs, and VFX Rendering configurations — each validated against real-world workloads by domain experts including PhD-level AI researchers and VFX producers.

Goldstein, a Cisco-certified network engineer, began his career as a Network Systems Administrator at a global bank before founding a creative technology agency that served Fortune 100 companies and global pop music icons including Jay-Z, Elton John, Rihanna, and Alicia Keys.

The launch follows a successful seed round completed in early 2024. Later this year, Skorppio plans to introduce a pioneering program that provides compute resources to early-stage AI startups in exchange for equity — bringing an incubator model to high-performance infrastructure for the first time.
